EarWave - Brand Design Guide

 

EarWave was designed as a mock brand in a final school portfolio capstone. A music streaming app which sonically recognizes music similar to a song or songs you’re obsessed with and scours the internet for other music which categorically discovers new similar music. sonically, rhythimically, instrumentally, or lyrically similar music.

The brand look was created drawing inspiration from the psychedelic music aesthetics and movements of the 1970s while merging with modern design styles. I wanted to draw on that music heritage from that era of awesome, uninhibited, and colorful design. The app itself is about cross music cataloging and referencing and what better way to visualize that diverse intersectionality.
